So, even though I was feeling quite nervous that this new client would think I was nuts, I told her his request. And she laughed a knowing laugh. It turns out that Ethan used to get cake every year on his birthday, but near the end of his life, he was diabetic, so...no more cake! This is a photo of Ethan eating birthday cake, which she sent me after the appointment. His joy is evident!
